Thank you for "walking with us!" Generous donations still being accepted!
Together, we raised a net amount of nearly $23,000 at our inaugural Jingle Bell Walk on Saturday, December 3, 2016! We are incredibly thankful for your participation and unrelenting commitment to helping us raise funds for those who we serve - those living on the fringe of society.
Although the 2016 Jingle Bell Walk is over, our work is not. We have so much more to do. With your help, we will continue to reach out to people in need – those with no shelter, clothing, food or support – some living on the streets, under viaducts, in cars and the hidden areas of our cities. We assist all segments of our society who have come on hard times, many through no fault of their own: the working poor, single parents, children, families, the physically challenged and the elderly.
As Vincentians, our mission is to serve the poor and homeless, to provide a listening ear and compassionate service … simply, to live out the gospel message. St. Vincent de Paul said, “When our hearts stop burning with love, others will die of the cold.”
Without the kindness and generosity of our members and friends like you, we would not be able to help our less fortunate neighbors and those that we serve. So, please accept our sincere thanks for your participation and contribution to our Jingle Bell Walk. We always know we can count on you!
Please note we are still accepting donations to the Jingle Bell Walk for those who are still collecting pledges or maybe you have friends and family that are also interested in partnering with us to make this holiday season a more bearable one for those in need.
Thank you again,
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Chicago Council
